Strategic Management and Operation

Bismillahirahmanirahim...Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh...

This was a story about my first week of our lecture on Strategic Management and Operation subject...First of all,our lecture come in and introduce herself as Dr Ummi Salwa from Faculty of Economic and Muamalat USIM. Then she introducing her study background for inspire us to be success like her.After all about her, she made a 'taaruf' session with us. She wanted to known well our name by write it on a paper,then put it on our desk and show it to the front.

After done all the introducing session, she went to our main subject. She explain all about the subject were including the assessment and assignment that we need to submit through this semester.Next,we begin our study session with an activity. She bring lot of newspaper and commanded us to divided into 5 group.She give us a task on build a building as higher as we can. So the picture above, were our process during the project and the result of our building. In this activity, I can learn on how to manage a strategic way to build up a tallest and highest building.Beside that, our management on cooperation between people are very important.We can learn how to manage human being work as a team.At the end of this activity, we can concluded that no matter how tall of your building was,if the based were unstable,it will fall easily. Which means no matter how high your dream was, without efforts, perseverance, passion, commitment and hard work, you will not be able to achieved your dream and target.

After that, our lecturer continue with our first topic which is Introduction to Strategic Management.

It was divided into a sub topic such as:

1. Definition
2. Developments In Strategic Management
3. Reports on Strategic Management
4. The Strategic Management Process

Definition

-Drafting, implementing and evaluating cross-functional decision that will enable an organizations to achieve its long term objective

For external factor in Strategic management were PESTLE :

1. Politic
2. Economy
3. Social
4. Technology
5. Legal
6. Environment

For Strategic Management Process divided into 3:

1. Strategic Formulation
2. Strategic Implementation
3. Strategic Evaluation
